Playground RestructuringTommy Louie
Soon, the Holy Cross Catholic school play structure is going to be remodeled. The people in charge of it is your very own Holy Cross STEM program. The program is an after school activity, mainly focused on engineering. The students in the program were put in charge of the project where they put together a voting project, one in which the students outside of the program were questioned and voted on what style of play structure they wanted. They also built some models for the younger kids to experiment with. One example was the water slide. This was where they made a pump and pushed water down a ramp to show how the slide works. To get information about the program, an interview with a member is provided. Aylin told me she isn’t sure of exact names, but will look. Aylin said they ask people what playground they want. Then they draw a bubble diagram for the playground. Last, they make an actual diagram of the equipment. When asked about how far they’re into the project, Aylin said they are very close to choosing what they want. They already made 3D diagrams of the playground. Aylin answered that they are planning the whole project, but they don’t get to actually design the project. Aylin said there are 14 to 15 students in stem. When asked if there was anything we weren’t aware of on the new play structure, she said they’re making it more nature-like, not like every other play structure. Lastly, she said they will have two mini hills with slides. For the little kids, we have an imaginative area and a nature picking place. In the imaginative area, they want to add a boat for the little kids to have fun in. Since some kids just like to talk, they are going to add an amphitheater for plays. Since many kids like to kick balls, they’ve added a soccer field/grass area. Also, there are still some surprises for us. Lastly, they plan on adding a fort. As you can see, the STEM program is working hard to get this project finished. Although they don’t really get to build the actual play structure, they’re really contributing to the whole project. Their ideas were smart and actually allowed the children to decide what kind of playground they wanted. It was definitely a more involved project, not one where the club itself decided exactly what to do. Hopefully, the playground will be as good as the children wanted. It really is a big development. The stem students been working very hard to get this accomplished. We will all be very excited when the stem students finally finish and to all of us 10 students we hope that you have had a good time doing this and we wish you all a very happy please as you helped us accomplish this goal for the older kids and the little kids. We appreciate all you did. Congratulations STEM students. You are greatly appreciated. |
Portland Protests: Only One-Third of Arrested Portland Anti-Trump Protesters Bothered to VoteTedrose Teshager
From the moment it became clear that Donald Trump was going to be president of the United States, thousands of people filled the streets of cities from Portland to Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles to Boston and New York. For days, they raged — making it clear they were not happy with the election's outcome. Portland hosted the tensest demonstrations with thousands of people taking to the street and hundreds turning violent. “Not my president” was their message. It was written on placards and chanted as they marched. They screamed to the world that Trump’s election was not acceptable to them, that they would be watching his every move closely. Democracy, the message went, depended on vigilance. Many of the most exercised and violent of the group protesting the election's outcome, though, have this dirty, little secret in common: They never bothered to vote. In essence, they had joined the millions of Americans who helped elect Donald Trump by staying at home on Election Day. They protested plenty. Three nights after the election, Portland's streets became the most violent in the nation. Scores of people rampaged, causing more than $1 million in damage as they smashed windows, businesses, cars. Portland Police declared it a riot. Of the 112 people arrested in Portland for whom birth date and place of residence could be established, 89 people listed Oregon addresses. Of those, only 73 were registered to vote in Oregon and, of those, only 34 actually cast a ballot. There were seven people who listed Washington as their home (at least two of whom did vote), one from California and one from Texas. Fourteen people listed no home address. Only one-third of those who had had enough energy to show up at a protest and get themselves arrested had enough energy to cast a ballot. Patch spoke with several march organizers who, while trying to minimize the issue, recognize that just showing up at a march isn't going to change anything. Even President Obama — speaking in Germany on Thursday — made the same point. “One of the great things about our democracy is it expresses itself in all sorts of ways, and that includes people protesting,” Obama said. "I would not advise people who feel strongly or are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised during the course of the campaign — I wouldn't advise them to be silent.” At the same time, Obama made it clear he does not believe protesting is enough. “What I would advise — what I advised before the election and what I will continue to advise after the election — is that elections matter, voting matters, organizing matters, being informed on the issues matter,” he said. “Democracy is hard work.” *Many notes for this article came from KATU News Channel and KGW News Channel |

The History about Thanksgiving In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledge today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. Days of Thanksgiving were celebrated by individuals colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that the President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held in November. In September 1620, a small ship call the Mayflower left Plymouth, England, carrying 102 passengers an assortment of religious separatists seeking a new home where they could freely practice their faith and other individuals. One month later, the Mayflower crossed the Massachusetts Bay, Where the pilgrims, as they are now commonly known, began the work of establishing a village at Plymouth.(http://www.history.com/topics/thanksgiving/history-of-thanksgiving). Thanksgiving was celebrated as a federal holiday ever since 1863. Now in the United States on November 24, people celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. |
The Saints of NovemberSophia Ell
St. Martin De Porres, St. Rose Phillipine, and St. Elizabeth are saints who have their feast day in November. This article is all about them. St. Martin de Porres St. Martin was born on December 9, 1579 in Lima, Peru. He was a son of a Spanish gentleman and a freed slave from Panama, of African or possibly Native American descent. Unfortunately, his father abandoned him and his family at a young age. Martin was left caring for his sister and mother and they struggled with poverty. After only two years of school, Martin became an apprentice to a barber/surgeon to support his family. As Martin grew older, he experienced discrimination for being mixed race. In Peru, by law, all descendants of African or Indians were not allowed to become full members of religious orders. But no matter what was said to him or about him, Martin never fought back. He simply turned the other cheek and focused on more important things, like prayer. Martin spent long hours in prayer and decided to ask the Dominicans of Holy Rosary Priory in Lima to accept him as a volunteer who took unwanted jobs in the monastery. If he was accepted, Martin would get to live within the religious community. When Martin was 15, he was accepted as a servant boy, Eventually, he became in charge of distributing money to the deserving poor. In his time at the Convent, Martin used his barber and healing skills as well as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. After eight years in the convent, he became a brother, assigned to work in the infirmary. Martin was very caring and, having been through discrimination himself, took care of anyone who needed his help, regardless of race, gender, etc. Martin was generous and loving of people--even animals. Once, when there were mice in the convent, some of the other brothers wanted to poison them because the mice were chewing holes in the linens. But Martin would not allow it. He held one mouse and told it that he would bring them food every day if they would stop chewing holes in the linens. Once Martin started bring them food, not a single linen had a hole in it again. Martin died in January 1639. He was 60 years old. He was canonized on May 6, 1942. Martin is the patron saint of people of mixed race, barbers, social justice, and public health workers. His feast day is November 3. St. Rose Phillippine Duchesne St. Rose was born in Grenoble, France in 1769. When she got older, she joined the Society of the Sacred Heart. In 1818, when Rose was 49, she moved to America. While in America, Rose founded a boarding school for daughters of pioneers. She also founded the first free school. At age 71, Rose founded a school for Native Americans, who soon came to know her as “the woman who is always praying”. Rose died in 1852. She was canonized in 1988 by Pope John Paul the second. Her feast day is November 18. St. Elizabeth St. Elizabeth, not to be confused with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, was a cousin to the Virgin Mary. Most of what we know of St. Elizabeth comes from the Gospel of Luke. Elizabeth and her husband, Zechariah, had always wanted a child but could never have one. In their old age, the couple became worried that it would never happen. So one day, Zechariah went to the temple to pray. While he was praying, the Angel Gabriel came to him. He said, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born." Zechariah was skeptical when he heard this, so he was to be mute until the baby was born as punishment. Sure enough, soon after Zechariah was visited by the Angel Gabriel, Elizabeth became pregnant. Elizabeth was elated. After Gabriel visited Zechariah, he went to see Mary to tell her that she would bare the son of God. Mary went to visit Elizabeth, and when she did, Elizabeth’s baby is said to have leapt in her womb. After Mary left from her three-month long visit, Elizabeth gave birth to her son John. He was to become John the Baptist and baptize Jesus. After this story, there is no more mention of St. Elizabeth in the Bible. Her feast day is November 5. |
What is Faith?Bryan Velazquez-Flores
I believe that faith has a major role to play in the foundation of us as the “inherits” of the Earth. God put many different animals on the Earth because he loved us. Although there are many nonliving and living things on this Earth, humans are responsible for taking care of God’s creations. We might not always understand why God wants us to do something but sometimes, we just have to have faith that everything will turn out well. As you continue to read on, I hope that you learn what faith is and some examples of having faith. My own definition for: Faith Faith [noun] - Faith is complete trust in someone or something. Example: I have complete faith in God that he’ll help me throughout my journey in life. Faith [noun] - Faith is a strong belief in God or in a particular religion due to culture and/or family traditions. Meaningful quotes related to: Faith “Sometimes beautiful things come into our lives out of nowhere. We can't always understand them, but we have to trust in them. I know you want to question everything, but sometimes it pays to just have a little faith.” - Lauren Kate (American Author) “Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.” -Max Lucado (Christian Author and Preacher) Bible Verses which relate to: Faith "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20 This verse explains that it doesn’t matter how big or small your faith may be. If you have faith in God, anything is possible, no matter how easy or impossible it may seem. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 This verse explains that no matter how long you’ve been asking God for something, never lose faith in him. Even though you may think that your wish won’t be granted anymore, God still has plans for you in the future. It also means that if you have faith in God, your wish will be granted. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 This is simply saying that if you don’t have faith in God, then you won’t be able to see him or even know who he is. I personally think that without faith in God, nothing is possible. A model citizen for: Faith Jesus Christ is the first person I think of when I hear the word faith. Faith really plays a strong part in Jesus sacrificing himself for us. Jesus showed faith in God by trusting him with the duty of dying on the cross in order to save us from sin. If Jesus didn’t have faith in God, Jesus could’ve refused to sacrifice himself for us and instead done what he thought would’ve been better. Jesus had faith in God throughout his whole life. Especially at the last moment of his life on the cross when he took his final breath and gave his spirit over to God and trusted that this is what he wanted. A Self-Reflection of the word: Faith I personally think that everyone in life must have faith at some point in their lives. I believe that faith doesn’t just have to be in God but can also be in a neighbor, friend, teacher or in anyone else. I think that nothing in life would be possible without faith. If we as humans didn’t have faith in someone, we wouldn’t be able to trust them. For example, if you can’t go to school tomorrow, you can tell a classmate to turn in your homework for you. This is where faith comes in. If you don’t have faith in that person, you’re basically saying you can’t trust them. Then if you can’t trust them to turn your homework in for you, then you’ll probably get points taken off for it being late. I always have to have faith in God. I think that if I don’t have faith in God, I wouldn’t be able to do anything without being afraid. Every Time I’m not confident about doing something, I pray to God to give me the courage to do whatever that may be. When I don’t have faith, I feel like there’s a piece of me missing. A situation that I always find myself in and need faith is every time I go to bed. I always find myself thinking “Will I see daylight tomorrow?” or “Will I go to school tomorrow?” At school, before I take a test, I think to myself “Will I pass this test?” All these situations are a time to question yourself about your faith. I think God puts us in these situations to test our faith. If it turns out that your faith is not enough, this is a great time for you to be more involved in the church and community. Then hopefully your faith will grow. It doesn’t matter how much faith you have. So please, remember that nothing is possible in life without faith. |
Religion in the USAErika Campbell
Christianity is the biggest religion in the United States. At a percentage of 33.3. The Next biggest is Muslim at a percentage of 21.01. There’s a 14.09 percent is not religious in any way shape or form. But another religion is Hinduism at 13.26.Then There's other religions at 12.48. And lastly there's a 5.85 Percent of the u.s. that is Buddhism. I'm going to be talking about a little bit of each of the religions for example we will start with Christianity move on too much and then we won't go Hinduism and lastly Buddhism. To start off with Christianity it is a religion that thinks Jesus Christ is the savior of the world this is different from other religions the religion say that he was just a prophet and others don't believe that he existed. Next Muslim I believe that Muhammad was the final Prophet after Moses. They do not believe in the same thing as Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the savior they think the Saviour hasn't come yet to save us. And then there's a 14.09 percent of the u.s. that isn't religious and you can probably guess if they don't follow anybody in there just believe in themselves and that there's no God. Next Hinduism Hinduism is actually one of the oldest religions. And also one of the most diverse and complex relations of them out there. The reason that is complex is because it has many gods and vedas are the most important. then there's a 12.48 percent that just follows their own God and don't really particularly belong to a religion. Last we have Buddhism at the smallest person 5.85 percent they believe that life is an illusion and that we get reborn and many different shapes through Good Karma and Bad Karma. A Buddhist practice is meditation. There is an 8 fold path you have to follow to reach complete happiness that also the 4 truths. If you follow all of these you'll be left to complete happiness and see through the illusions of life. This is the end of my article thank you for being and I hope to gain some new knowledge and that you learn something new about U.S. religion. |
Holy Cross' November Athletics ReportIda Fogarty
Students at Holy Cross play many sports. Many girls in the middle school play volleyball, many of the boys and girls play basketball, also many people play soccer. I wanted to talk and find out more about the sports Holy Cross students play. I have taken a poll of their favorite sport to watch and to play. I am also interviewing Aylin (7), Reem (7), Gabby (7), and Canaan (7) about their favorite athletic activities. First, I will be talking about sports here at Holy Cross school. Currently we have a middle school girls volleyball team. The season is coming to an end though. Reem, who is on the volleyball team, had this to say about the season, “We are doing good in our games, definitely showing improvement!” Starting very soon is basketball season. Some of the girl middle school students are trying to form a basketball team. There will most likely also be a guys basketball team. There is also a kindergarten and first grade basketball team called “Hot Shots” . Which is super cute! Also many, and I am talking so many kids play soccer at Holy Cross. Aylin who plays soccer said “ Soccer means to me that it’s a sport that you have to play with care, but is still a competitive sport for me. You should always try! I will never give up.” Aylin plays for a NOPO team with the name “Blue Venom” . Also Anna in the 7th grade plays on the same team as Aylin. They have a very strong team. They have a 10:2 ratio which is rad! Needless to say the students at Holy Cross are very active. A not so active thing is sitting and watching sports. I wanted to find out what the students favorite sports to watch were. 50% like watching football, 40% like watching basketball, 1% like watching golf, and 4% like watching volleyball. I gave so many options, even including golf, but no one said they liked to watch golf. Basketball is definitely a favorite to play at Holy Cross because 50% people love to play basketball that I asked. 50! 5% loved to play volleyball. 30% enjoyed playing soccer. Last but not least 15% like to play football. This paragraph will be about the interviews I had with some of the students. Reem Abdelmahmoud Nasir Osman is the first person I interviewed (7). Reem told me about her volleyball team, “I think the team is very good. There are somethings I think we should work on such as, talk on the court more, getting more than two hits, getting PUMPED, slapping the coach cause he is annoying, not getting down when we loose, and becoming more lit.” Gabby Granados talked to me about her favorite sports. “ My favorite sport is basketball because it is pretty dope. I like it because I can be myself in it.” She also told me that Jesus played football. I am still stumped on how she knew that. Next I interviewed Canaan Tolla (7), he told me about one of his favorite basketball teams to watch. “ I like to watch Trail Blazers play.” I asked him why he liked the Blazers and he said, “I don’t know they’re the freaking Trail Blazers.” “Also I am going to be doing CYO basketball!” Basketball is very very popular at our school! Thank you so much for reading about sports at Holy Cross and the students favorite sports! Also if you are interested in playing on the girls 7th and 8th grade basketball team hit Mr. Tagorda up because they need more players! Once again thank you for reading. |
Rugby: Underrated Football?Gemma Tkel
What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word rugby? People tackling each other, violence, injuries, and many other grizzly things, correct? Well, when I think of the word rugby the first thing that pops into my head would be football. Rugby is probably one of the most neglected sports out there. Even though there are rugby teams all over the world, in the nation’s eyes, football outshines it by a long shot. Football and rugby are very similar sports; except for the fact that rugby doesn’t use any type of protective gear. In the sport of rugby, the players wear only uniforms, cleats, and mouth guards. No shin guard, no helmets, just a bunch of flimsy pieces of clothing in between a bunch of physical contact. Rugby is said to have been created in 1823, at England’s Rugby School, A man by the name of William Webb Ellis caught the ball during a game of soccer and began to run with it. Although there isn’t much evidence to prove this story to be true, I honestly find this piece of information hilarious and an entertaining story to how such a game was created. It essentially started out as an innocent accident that became an aggressive and traditional sport that is still played today. The place where my family and I are from, Palau, plays rugby excessively and even has it’s own rugby team. I have never played the sport, whether on a team or for fun. I don’t even know the basics of it, but I do have family members that like the sport and have played it before. My first time hearing about the sport was from my cousin who wanted to play it, because football was too boring. The Americas Rugby Championships 2017 will be opening Saturday, February 4, and will be playing for 5 consecutive weekends. National teams from Brazil, Canada, Chile, USA, Uruguay, and the defending champion Argentina XV will all be competing. It will be a round-robin tournament with verses home-venues. In the opening round Canada will be housing Argentina XV, Brazil will be hosting Chile, and The United States will be having Uganda travel over. More information about the venues and ticketing will be revealed in due time. Rugby is a very diverse sport where all genders and ages are accepted into the sport. Not only are there men’s teams, there are women’s teams too. To make the sport even greater than it already is, the have homosexual teams! ARC Amsterdam Lowlanders, the only gay and straight friendly rugby team in the Netherlands, Co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rugby Netherlands and International Gay Rugby (IGR) to publicize the inclusion of LGBT members in the rugby community, to help boost confidence of those included in the LGBT community, and to help fight against the discrimination of people against the LGBT community. This MoU shows the cooperation of the groups to continue the promotion of equality and incorporation in the sport with educational tools, events and other regional activities pointed at upping the tolerance and welcoming of LGBT community members in Dutch rugby, coaches referees, and viewers. There are many types of rugby, including: Tag Rugby, in which there are tag belts that must be ripped off instead of tackling, Touch Rugby, in which players must touch each other using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or ball instead of tackling, Beach Rugby, which is played on sand and the point is to rip off tags to be considered a “tackle”, and many more. Student Highlight of the MonthAshley DeVeux
This month's student of the month is Nasir Osman. He is a student in the 8th grade. He has been going to Holy cross since 3rd grade. He came from Rosa Parks. Nasir has two sisters that go to school here--Reem in 7th grade and Rana in 5th grade. Nasir is scared of the dark because anything can be behind you and sneak up and kill you. In five years he sees himself going to Washington University for college. In college he would like to study engineering. His dream job is being an air force pilot because he likes being high up in the sky and it makes him feel free, and there are no worries up there, just you and the clouds. In Nasir’s free time he likes to hang out with his friends and play video games. His most embarrassing moment was when Ted pulled down his pants. Nasir regrets spending so much money on Ted and Taco Bell. Total friendship goals. And since he and Ted are so close, Nasir would bring him on a deserted island as one of his 3 items. Ted is really entertaining so Nasir could always laugh and be happy if he took Ted to the island. The other items he would bring are a buffet and a house. The buffet would never run out of food so he would never be hungry and never have to worry about cooking. Jeez...he is lazy. I have no idea how they would get there but I guess anything can happen. One of the foods he would hope would be on the buffet is chicken because it is his favorite food. He says he loves chicken because it is delicious. Nasir would be happy on the island because there is no school, and right now he says school is the hardest thing in his life. He can only hope that it stays this way. School is also the thing that bores him the most, since you have to sit there and listen to the teachers talk and you can’t talk. If Nasir came across a genie on the sidewalk the thing he would wish for is unlimited wishes. Then he could get everything he has always wanted. I know right. That is the most boring wish ever. But he would probably wish for good things that can help people because if he won the lottery he would buy the biggest house in the world and all the cars that he wanted and he would donate the rest of the money to charity. One thing that would be really hard for Nasir to give up is his friends. If he didn’t have any friends then his life would be boring. There would be no laughing and having fun. Because being by yourself blows. If Nasir had to give up one of his five senses he would give up smell. He would give up the sense of smell because then when you walk into public restrooms you don’t smell anything and if one of your friends smells bad you don’t have to try and politely tell them because you will never know. Which could be a curse and a blessing. If there is a natural gas leak you will never know because you can't smell it and you could die. Not being able to smell does have a lot of positives though. Teachers are a big part of a kid’s life. We spend 7 hours a day with them 5 days a week. So it's no surprise that they have big impacts on our lives. Every teacher in our school has impacted us all. One teacher in particular has impacted Nasir’s life the most. This teacher is Mr. T. Mr. T Or Mr. Tagorda has impacted Nasir’s life the most because when Nasir is struggling in school Mr.T is there to help motivate and push him to be the best student and person he can be. Thank you Mr.T or all the help and guidance you have shown to everyone in our school. The animal that Nasir relates to the most is a monkey. He say he relates most to a monkey because monkeys are kind of tall, but not huge which Nasir says is exactly his height 5’6. Monkeys are also very funny athletic and smart. Nasir plays soccer and futsal. I have no idea if monkeys play those or are able to...but maybe. When the day comes that Nasir leaves the earth or in other words dies, he wants his tombstone to say “How is the weather up there?” Thank you Nasir for letting me interview you. Hope you enjoyed the article! |

Do Parents Make the Best Teachers?Maxx Diehm
I recently came across an article which talked about parents being the best teachers, and I was intrigued. In my opinion they are the greatest teachers you will ever have. They are the first people you knew, and they for the most part they have your likes and dislikes in mind and they are in charge of you until you are 18. While normal teachers have a classroom of about 20 or so, some parents only have 1 child and usually at the most they have 5. So it is way easier for them to teach you stuff every day of the week. I do still think we should have teachers because they are some of the most important people in our society and without them, presidents would not be able to be there without their education, and you know who is in charge of education? Teachers. I hope you agree with me on my opinion and if you don’t, I would love to hear your opinion and hear why you don’t believe that parents are our best teachers.Although I believe we should have teachers and even though I also think that parents are our best teachers, some countries have actually brought in parents, grandparents, grandmothers or other legal guardians to help their student learn better with loving and caring people by their side. Parents are very protective of their kids which is quite obvious which is why Another reason I believe parents would in fact make great teachers is they also went through the school experience. I know that teachers also went through the school experience, but then they went on to other schooling to learn how to be a better teacher and how to discipline correctly and through all of that they may have forgotten how regular students want to learn and how they want to get attention, etc. In a big class, teachers are more likely to forget how to teach each individual and try to get the lesson over with faster. As to where the parents truly care for their children and would invest more time, money and resources. Don’t get me wrong--I very much appreciate all teachers and love what they are doing. They are one of the most important people in our society if not the most important part on our society and should definitely keep persevering through what ever college they are going to and graduate and go to schools that desperately need them. All schools are always in need of better teachers. Teachers are obviously under-appreciated. All the people who are extremely smart and are super successful, owe it all to their teachers. Being a teacher also takes courageousness. Like I talked about earlier when they have to learn how to discipline they also have to cooperate with kids who have special needs and need extra attention. But instead it would easier for parents to do that because they already need to learn how to teach kids. In my opinion, professional teachers that have one or more kids already are the greatest parents and teachers because, they don't only benefit and become better teachers but they also become better parents. Parents are definitely our best teachers at the beginning however later on in the kid's life when they start to become a teen or pre-teen ( around 12 to 13 years of age) they want to become more distant or not as close with their parents. And that's also when teens or preteens don’t want to listen to their parents or legal guardians or anyone really. It’s already hard for them to listen to their teacher let alone their parents who would also be their parents and then if they would react or have a tantrum in class not only would that affect his or her learning and his or her mom’s or dad’s learning but also the other kids’ learning. As I may have said already in this paper parents are most invested in our education other than the student. In conclusion, parents have their moments of being good and stable teachers, but eventually their kids will want to start going away from what their parents or elders want them to do. So I think that kids should eventually have another teacher. If you agree with my opinion thanks for reading and if you don’t maybe this article will change you opinion. |
Cats vs DogsNatalie Barnard
Are you more of a cat or dog person? Well, here are some questions that will help you tell if you are a cat or dog person! Then I will tell you my opinion!
If you mostly chose the second ones, which are the indoors, laid back, and hide and seek, you are mostly a cat person. If you mostly chose the first ones which are the outdoors, more energetic, and tag, then you are a dog person. I am mostly a cat person! For question 1, my answer was indoors. For 2, I am more energetic. For the last question, I like hide and seek. I already liked cats better in the first place. I think cats are better because of so many reasons. A couple reasons are that they are fluffy and they come in all colors, sizes, and personalities. Furthermore, there are lots of breeds of cats. Here are some breeds of cats: British Shorthair, Siamese Cat, Persian Cat, Maine Coon, Ragdoll, American Shorthair, Abyssinian Cat, Burmese Cat, Bengal Cat, Sphynx Cat, Exotic Shorthair, Russian Blue, Birman, American Bobtail, Scottish Fold, Siberian Cat, American Curl, Cornish Rex, Ocicat, Egyptian Mau, Turkish Angora, Himalayan Cat, Norwegian Forest Cat, Tonkinese Cat, Devon Rex, Chartreux, Bombay Cat, Japanese Bobtail, Selkirk Rex, Korat, Balinese Cat, Manx Cat, Singapura Cat, Turkish Van, Somali Cat, LaPerm, American Wirehair, Savannah Cat, Ragamuffin Cat, Munchkin Cat, Havana Brown, Toyger, Pixie-bob, Javanese Cat, Oriental Shorthair, Nebelung, Peterbald, Cymric Cat, Snowshoe Cat, Colorpoint Shorthair, and Chausie. That was a lot of cat breeds! Cats can come in different colors such as tabby, grey, black, white, blueish gray, and no fur at all! The one kind of cat that does not have fur is called the Sphinx! But cats can come in two or maybe even five colors! You can get a Calico which is a cat with three colors. It is black, white, and tabby. Some cats can also be energetic. If you are very energetic, you should get an energetic cat. If you are more laid back, you should get a calm cat. I hope that this article helped you! |
